MEDICINE / RHEUMATOLOGY · REVIEWED SOURCE MAP
ACR clinical practice guidance covers a range of rheumatic conditions. Its own guidance explains that recommendations support care patterns but do not dictate care for a particular patient.
Anchor 1 — name the condition. Rheumatology guidance is condition-specific; do not move a claim between diseases without checking scope.
Anchor 2 — distinguish guidance from certainty. Evidence-based guidance supports decisions but cannot guarantee an outcome for a person.
Anchor 3 — updates are expected. Guidelines are periodically reviewed as knowledge, technology and practice evolve.
The population and evidence base can differ between conditions.
